Inspect the branches of the tree to make sure that they are spaced well and that they are firmly attached. If the branches are upright and are attached with narrow angles or are pressed against the trunk, that tree may have issues later on. The trunk of the tree should be carefully inspected as well. You’ll want a strong trunk and if the tree has more than one trunk, then you’ll want the trunks to be well separated at the ground line since the trunks will expand as the diameter of the tree grows.
