Now that spring is here you're probably spending most of your free time out in the yard working on the garden, planting gorgeous blooming flowers and possibly even considering adding a couple new trees. Once you try it, you'll find that when you plant a healthy tree in your home's yard, you'll see how much things change.

An experienced tree care specialist can guide you in choosing the best tree for the area where you want to plant it. Just like flower and vegetable plants, different tree species have specific soil, water and sunlight requirements.
Select a tree with healthy foliage, smooth bark and a root ball surrounded by burlap. When ready to plant dig the hole two times the size of the root ball in diameter and a bit shallower than the ball's depth.
Gently roll the tree into the hole then cut away the burlap and carefully loosen the soil surrounding the roots. Add back in the displaced dirt along with additional soil and additives recommended by your tree care professional. Water and then stake if necessary.

If all this seems a bit out of your comfort zone or if you don't have the time or tools, Cartwright Tree Care offers outstanding tree care services in Kansas City. Just contact us today for assistance.
