# Kansas City Community Gardens Teach and Inspire

The not-for-profit [Kansas City Community Gardens](http://www.kccg.org) (KCCG) improves the quality of life of low-income

households and other community members by helping them grow their own vegetables and fruit. The beauty of the cause is matched by the casual beauty of the [KCCG](http://www.kccg.org) landscape.

The property includes a beanstalk garden, community gardens, and school gardens. These spaces host a variety of herbs as well as seed plants. Participants get to learn about plants that are native to Kansas and Missouri, as well as many other species.

The [Kansas City Community Gardens](http://www.kccg.org) also reaches out to metro area groups and establishes more individual and group gardens.
