FIR_WHITE4_form.jpg

White fir is a classical American beauty, native to the Rocky Mountains.  This Evergreen pyramid is also know as a Colorado Fir, a member of the pine family. Firs prefer climits where summers are hot and droughts occur.  Making this a fantastic tree for your Kansas City urban landscaping.

Fun fact, naturalist Donald Peattie recognized the beauty and adaptability of the white fir and accurately predicted that its future “lies in its value as an ornamental.” Its shape, color and ability to thrive on harsh sites has made the tree a favorite for urban landscaping. It has also become a major component of the Christmas tree industry.
