It's time for spring tree maintenance and instead of having all those cut tree branches taken to the landfill or even ground into mulch, here are some easy crafty ideas to incorporate them into your home's decor.

Using a small branch, make a stylish hanger for necklaces and pendants. Then take a larger branch and drape it with scarves and wraps. Both these ideas help keep your accessories organized while adding a unique look to any bedroom or dressing area.

  • Create an awesome candelabra, or, with a little more work and some electrical experience, use those discarded branches to design your own hanging chandelier.
  • Add smaller branches to dried flowers and eucalyptus for an interesting year-round centerpiece.
  • Incorporate them back into Mother Nature by slicing rounds of larger boughs for garden stepping stones. Then weave branches into a vine covered gazebo or around and through a wrought iron fence and gate.
  • Update a boring picture frame with smaller branches and twigs. You can also fashion a piece of natural art by creating your own custom design on canvas and then framing.
