Insurance Might Not Cover Preventative Tree Removal

When it comes to managing the trees on your property, one of the things you’ll want to consider is preventative tree removal. If any of your trees are damaged or diseased, you should have them removed as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there is a chance that you homeowner’s insurance won’t cover it.

Even though your homeowner’s insurance may not cover preventative tree removal, you should go ahead and do so anyway if it’s possible. Not doing so can result in the damaged or diseased tree falling during a storm and causing extensive damage to your property. It could even cause injuries depending on where it falls. Sure, your insurance will most likely cover the damage a falling tree causes on your home or vehicle, but is it really worth the trouble of having to get the tree removed after it’s fallen and then repairing the damage that it’s done? It’s not – the process is quite stressful and could take longer than you think. It’s best to just have the tree removed if it needs to be removed before it causes any trouble.
