We can't bundle our beloved trees up for winter as we do our children, but we can do a little winterizing to help protect them from possible ice or snow storms and those frosty Arctic temperatures ahead.

Since these icy conditions favor our area; follow these 4 tips for healthy, happy and safe trees this winter season!

Are your trees ready for this Winter season?  Contact Cartwright Tree Care to request your free consultation.

Maintain a very good upkeep on your trees throughout the entire year instead of only focusing on certain seasons.  Well maintained, strong, healthy trees always do better than the weak, damaged and un-managed trees.

Be ready for old man winter to knock!  Inspect your trees often, or have a Cartwright Tree Care Professional perform our yearly Risk assessment to check for limbs or branches hanging over your house, sidewalk or car.  If the branches are dead, diseased, or unsafe, it is best to have them removed.

Build a relationship with a tree care professional and become established as a regular customer. A regular customer's needs will be addressed following a storm before the needs of new clients.

Don't stop watering.  This is very important.  Most people stop watering once cold weather comes our way, but trees need water throughout the entire year to survive.  You don't need to water while the ground is frozen, but resume once it thaws!
