Kansas City trees Source: Tiny Door Project

A strange and heretofore unexplained series of events has transpired over the past few months in the Kansas City area - someone or something has been installing elven-sized doors in local area trees. The pint-sized doors are only a few inches wide and less than a foot high. In the area, they have been spotted in Mill Creek, Swope and Frank Thies parks. Residents are urged to view them early as they are not expected to last very long.

The truth about these wonderful works of art is only slightly less amazing. Created in a collaboration between the Keebler Company and an assortment of local artists and landscape professionals, the Tiny Door Project is looking to add a little aesthetic interest to the local parks as well as generate some publicity for the cookie company. The project is expected to go nationwide soon, so look for them in your favorite local park.
