Now that summer is here, it's time to start looking for signs of damage to your trees from excess heat and lack of nutrients. Trees with diseased roots can also potentially be damaged to the point of dying if heat stress isn't discovered and treated in time.

Too much seasonal rain can cause fungus and rot to form around the tree base, damaging the roots. While if a drought occurs, trees can't produce the necessary micronutrients needed to manufacture new growth or fruit. If the leaves on a tree begin to yellow, rust colored spots or bumps appear and then the greenery begins to drop off, it's time to check with a professional to determine if heat stress is present.

Proactive treatment can easily save your trees through a regimented course of biostimulants, along with a regular watering schedule. Even if there are no signs of heat stress present, it's important to keep your eye on your trees for as long as temperatures continue to soar.
