The Emerald Ash Borer is a very aggressive Asian beetle that in the past 14 years has destroyed millions of ash trees here in the United States. Confusion has reigned among tree experts on the topic of control and containment. In the beginning it was thought that once an ash tree became infected with these beetles, it could not be salvaged and would need to be removed. Over the years, this drastic treatment has been debated and now other methods are offered.
