As we’ve mentioned before we also desire to educate you on ways that you can help yourself by taking excellent care of the trees that are a part of your commercial property.

We would like to take this opportunity to discuss some of the common mistakes that are made when caring for the trees that are on your commercial property. If you are aware of these mistakes, hopefully you can avoid them on your own and help do the right thing to keep your business property booming.

One of the most common mistakes that people make is poor pruning. Pruning not only changes the desired look of the plant but also can harm its grown pattern and cause more significant issues. Removing limbs improperly or choosing the incorrect limbs to remove can also be harmful to the structure and beauty of your trees.

Another common mistake that business owners make is to place too much mulch around their trees in order to produce a more polished look. While mulch can be beneficial in some ways, you want to make sure you aren’t placing it too far up the sides of the tree, encouraging too much moisture on the bark. The bark of a tree isn’t designed to withstand continuous moisture and such conditions can leave the tree vulnerable to fungi or insects. It can also cause decay and that’s both unsightly and harmful to the health of the tree.

Finally, a mistake that we see over and over again is usually related to the lawn care service. Large equipment can put cuts in the trees when mowing too close and cause other issues for the tree itself, besides ruining the beauty of it’s natural design.

So, consider these common mistakes and be cautious not to make them yourself!
