Controlling Tree Disease in Kansas City

Each of the common diseases that the Midwest faces is often unique to the species of tree. From Apple Scab to Oak and Pine Wilt, the diseases are typically species specific here in the Midwest. Other more widespread issues like pest or insect issues are also common, but an entirely different beast.  

It is very difficult for the average person to know all the tree species and the possible diseases that could affect them. A certified arborist is trained in tree health analysis, and disease detection. They will be able to properly identify what the disease is and inform you on the status of the tree. From here you can plan a course of action on how to treat the disease.

Depending on how soon or late you catch the disease will often determine the course of action.  So, call as soon as you notice any signs of disease. Signs of a disease can include abnormal growths, dead or decaying limbs or trunk tissues and overdevelopment and death of tissue. 

Early signs of disease, if noticed and caught can be addressed and often corrected or managed. If left untreated, a disease can spread and worsen, killing the infected tree and can even spread to surrounding trees depending on the disease.
