If you have pine trees on your property, then you might have noticed some of the pine needles turning from green to yellow during the fall season. Don’t worry, it's probably nothing to worry about!

Most pine needles will remain green throughout the fall season. However, if you look carefully, you may notice some of the needles of your pine trees turning yellow and even brown. This does not mean that they have some sort of disease, or that your pine tree is dying. Basically, interior pine needles that are of a certain age will turn yellow or brown during the fall and then drop. As long as the newer needles remain green, the tree should be fine. The only time the yellowish or brownish color is an indication of a problem is if the needles around the branch tips are turning this color. In this case, you may want to contact a professional tree service for assistance with the issue.

Don’t worry too much about yellow or brown pine needles – most of the time it’s normal. Be sure to contact us today at Cartwright Tree Care if you are in need of Kansas City area tree care.
