- Decorate the tree – If the tree is safe where it stands, then you don’t necessarily have to remove it. In fact, you can decorate it by hanging string lanterns among its limbs.

- Use it for firewood – If you have a fireplace, then why not cut the tree up into firewoo?. Just keep in mind that hard woods will burn the longest, while softer wood burns quickly and is better used for kindling.
- Sell it – If your tree contains valuable lumber, such as a black walnut, then you could sell it to woodworkers, who will not only pay for the wood but may also remove the tree for you.
- Use it for fencing – Need a fence around your property? Use the wood from the tree!
