For most people there is just something about being outdoors that brings joy. The fresh air, sunshine, green trees and flowering shrubs make you glad to be alive and puts a positive spin on your day. In fact, the effects of nature on health have become a very hot topic of research among everyone from landscape architects to medical professionals.

It has been proven often the daily stresses of life can lead to debilitating illnesses and in some cases, even death. While most of us can't escape day to day stress, we all know ways to combat it through meditation, yoga and deep breathing exercises.

Now a group of researchers from the University of Illinois has determined some forms of stress can be alleviated simply by being able to view green spaces. This can be achieved by watching a slide show of nature scenes featuring trees, shrubs and bushes, glancing out an office window which overlooks a city park, or actually taking a short 10 minute walk down a tree lined street.

With solid proof all the trees in Kansas City are increasingly making our residents healthier, why not contact Cartwright Tree Care today about adding more trees to your landscape?
