Last year's intense dry conditions killed and endangered much of Gladstone's natural beauty. Now, the city needs your help.

Many of Gladstone's trees died or are currently dying because of the drought that occurred in 2012. That dry stretch is now affecting several trees in every single Gladstone city park. The cost to heal whatever trees still have a chance, as well as the price of replacing the dead trees with healthy ones, is hefty enough to cause serious concern. Gladstone has now begun to reach out to its residents for help with restoration.

Residents have been asked to donate to the tree fund operated by TreesForMyCity.com. The Dunn Family Foundation will match every dollar donated for a limited time, and the Heartland Tree Alliance promises to coordinate a planning event when the fund reaches $1000. So far, $400 have been donated in total.

Help out your local community and bring the natural beauty back to Gladstone by donating today.
