You Had a Tree Removed from Your Kansas City Yard... Now What?

If you need a tree removed from your yard in Kansas City, whether due to disease, danger to your home, or any other reason, you may be wondering what happens after the tree leaves your yard.

There are some options, depending on the size of the tree and what you plan to do with the area once the tree is removed. You can have your professional tree service remove the stump down to the ground, including grinding out as much of the remaining roots as possible. This will leave a loose depression.

If the tree was a large tree, it is recommended not to plant another tree in its spot. There could be some roots remaining that may try to sprout up, or diseased or deteriorated wood that could infect a new tree.

If the tree was young, the tree, trunk and roots should all be able to be successfully removed and another tree planted in the same place. Otherwise, you can add more soil to level out the ground and plant some grass.

Does this sound like too much trouble? Be creative and leave a part of the trunk and make it the focal point of the area, rather than an eyesore. Contact Cartwright Tree Care for all your tree removal and landscape needs in Kansas City.
