The Best Christmas Tree Farms in Kansas City GIVEAWAY

Written by Blog Dispensary KC on November 28, 2016 . Posted in Featured

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around the Kansas City Metro!  Everyone is starting to decorate their landscapes with beautiful lawn ornaments, their homes are being strung with vibrant lights, and soon all the bells will ring and the Carolers will start to sing!

Along with all of the holiday cheer, we can not forget  the tradition of decorating the Christmas Tree and it all starts with the precise selection!  Unless of course, you decide to use an imposter (the artificial tree).  Here are a few reasons to stick with a "real" Christmas Tree.

  • Freshly cut Evergreens will not cost you a fortune and leave your pocket book relatively untouched!  Most start at $28 depending on what size you are looking for!
  • Real Evergreens biodegrade back into our Earth and are actually nurture the soil.  Artificial trees lay in landfills for a lifetime.  Remember they are plastic.
  • Visiting a Christmas Tree Farm creates an opportunity to spend valuable time with your family, support local businesses, and cultivation!

Just a little Christmas Tree background for the history buffs!  The Evergreen fir has traditionally been used to celebrate the wonderful winter festivities for thousands and thousands of years. Long before they were Christmas Trees they were used by people all over the world as a special meaning for the winter solstice because they remain green all year!  Cool huh!

So... are you thinking about going for a "green" tree this year and throwing out that un-environmentally friendly "fake" Christmas Tree?  Well you are in the right city then, because Kansas City has some beautiful local Christmas Tree farms; here are a few the locals love to visit every year:
