But, before we get too comfortable in our backyards serving up some Kansas City Bar-B-Que on our grill and spending hours relaxing with family, there are several tree care steps that must be taken early spring to ensure your trees look their best, as well as prevent disease and inspect for storm damage that could be potentially dangerous.

It is equally important to examine the stems and branches for cankers and pay close attention to the limbs that extend over your house.  Also, look for neighbors trees and older trees that hover over your home.  All these could create lots of damage if your tree or your neighbors tree fall.

#2 - Prune your trees - If you spotted any deadwood, broken branches or any other tree related issues that you can not manage on your own, be sure to contact a professional like the ones at Cartwright Tree Care a call to guide your through all of your tree care needs in Kansas City.

#4- Keep a close eye on your trees for any signs of insects damage or disease.  The earlier these are detected the higher change your tree has of survival.

If you experience any of these signs, especially more than one of them at once, have a professional evaluate the tree.  Trees generally do a good job of taking care of themselves in spring, but some tender love and care can ensure your tree a long, healthy, and vigerous life.
